Sad face -- ESXi shows my controller to be: 82801HR/HO/HH (ICH8R/DO/DH). A little bit of research shows that ESXI probably won't see RAID volume made on this.

I don't see this controller listed on the HCL as well! But you could install and check. I am running a Supermicro board with has no components listed on HCL and still works fine
